First Post
Hi all,
This is the first post for the International Entomophagous Insects Conference blog.
This meeting is a merger of the North American-organized International Entomophagous Insects Workshop (the XIVth of these was held in June 2006 in Newark, Delaware, USA) and the European Workshop on Insect Parasitoids (the Xth was held in September 2007 in Erice (Sicily), Italy). The new, merged conference will retain the same focus on the ecology, evolution, systematics, genetics, and physiology of insect natural enemies that characterized the previous workshops. We will strive for an informal atmosphere that is welcoming in particular to graduate students and post-doctoral researchers, but also of course to university and government researchers and other interested scientists.
The first meeting was held in Minneapolis, MN, USA July 28 - 31, 2009. As in the past meetings, there was a single session. There were a number of really outstanding talks and posters and I really enjoyed seeing old friends and colleagues and meeting new ones too.
Here is a direct link to the program:

Future posts will include some photos from the meeting and I'm hoping that other attendees will attach comments and photos too.
